Carolyn Marshall Covington joins the team after decades of experience consulting businesses in the beauty and fashion industries. It was the dream that Carolyn began living at age 21. She opened her first In-Flight Hair Salon in Maryland and expanded into Virginia and North Carolina opening a chain of salons. Inspired by Madame C. J. Walker, she developed DZIRE Hair Care, to empower generations of African-American women.
Carolyn has been diagnosed with an eye disease that over time causes blindness. Through all these challenges, she is determined to stay on track. She knows exactly what she is purposed to do, and with God’s help, guidance, and unyielding faith, she has become highly recognized as an inspirational advocate for persons living with disabilities in 2016, Carolyn Covington founded a North Carolina non-profit. Insightful Visionaries which is focused on empowering persons with disabilities. In 2019, Carolyn was honored by WRAL TV and other community stakeholders. for her work as a beacon of light in the community. In 2020, she was inducted into (NAWBO) NC National Association of Women Business Owners Hall of Fame.
